Template Overview
This template covers a standard 7-day week with morning and evening shifts for a small coffee shop team. Here’s what’s included:
- 5 employees with rotating roles
- 2 shifts per day — Morning (7:00–14:00) and Evening (14:00–21:00)
- 2 days off per person per week
- Fair rotation — weekend shifts are distributed equally

Rotate weekend shifts monthly so David and Emma don’t always cover weekends. Fairness is key to retention.
How to Use This Template

Customization Tips
- If you open earlier (6 AM), shift morning to 6:00–13:00
- For busy weekends, add a third «mid shift» (10:00–17:00)
- Consider split shifts for staff who prefer working lunch rush only
- Color-code roles in your spreadsheet for quick visual scanning
