Shifty is a shift scheduling app for restaurants, cafes and bars — the places where the rota is still written on paper, argued about in a group chat, and photographed for whoever missed it.

What it does

A manager builds the week on a phone or in a browser and assigns people to shifts. Everyone sees it instantly, with a push notification when something changes. Staff can mark the days they are available, request time off, swap a shift with a colleague for the manager to approve, or claim an open shift nobody is assigned to yet.

Attendance is recorded with GPS clock-in, hours roll up into a payroll figure, and the schedule exports to PDF, CSV or XLSX. An existing paper or spreadsheet rota can be imported by photographing it.

Where it runs

All three stay in sync in real time. The interface is available in 33 languages.

What it costs

Every account starts with a 7-day free trial of the full app — no card required. After that, keeping the schedule editable needs Shifty Pro at $9.99 a month or $49.99 a year. The price is per team, not per employee, so headcount never changes the bill and there is no limit on how many people you schedule. Full details on the pricing page.

What it deliberately does not do

Shifty is a scheduling app, not an HR suite. There is no team chat, no applicant tracking, no POS integration and no payroll filing. The team feed carries announcements, not conversations. If you need a full workforce platform, Shifty is the wrong tool and we would rather say so here than after you have moved your team across.

Who makes it

Shifty is developed and operated by SARAFAN LLC, registered in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Web subscriptions are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record; mobile subscriptions are processed by Apple and Google.

Privacy

Schedules contain people's names and working hours, so the data is treated accordingly: encrypted in transit and at rest, handled in line with GDPR, and never sold. Some features use Google's Gemini AI for schedule recognition — what is sent and when is set out in the privacy policy. An account and all its data can be deleted at any time from this page.
