Shifty respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Account information: name, email (and any info you provide to set up your profile).
• Work data: shifts, roles, teams, availability, and requests you create in the app.
• Usage data: basic analytics about how the app is used to improve reliability and UX.

How we use information

• Provide core features (scheduling, notifications, team coordination).
• Support users and respond to inquiries.
• Improve performance, fix bugs, and develop new features.
• Maintain security and prevent abuse.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data only:

• With team members you add (so schedules and requests work).
• With vendors that help operate the service (hosting, analytics), under appropriate safeguards.
• If required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No internet transmission is 100% secure.

Your rights

• Access, correct, or delete your data (subject to legal requirements).
• Request account deletion.
• Opt out of non-essential communications.

AI features

Some Shifty features are powered by Google's Gemini AI (operated by Google LLC). When you use these features, the relevant input is sent to Google for processing:

• AI Assistant (chat): your messages and any team data they reference (employee names, shifts, hours, payroll figures) are sent to Google Gemini to generate responses.
• Schedule and employee scanning: images you upload are sent to Google Gemini for text extraction.
• Other AI helpers: short text inputs (e.g. industry classification, natural-language shift creation) are sent to Google Gemini.

Google processes this data under its own terms (policies.google.com/privacy). We do not use AI inputs to train models. Avoid sharing information you would not want processed by a third-party AI service. AI features are optional — you can use Shifty without them.
